Terms of Service

Effective date: 5 June 2026 · Version 1.0

Welcome to TaxiMeIAfert ("the app", "the service", "we", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TaxiMeIAfert mobile application and any related services. By creating an account or using the app you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility

2. Account types

The app supports three roles:

Account types cannot be combined. If you wish to operate in multiple roles, you must create separate accounts using different phone numbers and email addresses.

3. Role of TaxiMeIAfert

TaxiMeIAfert is a technology platform that connects passengers with independent drivers and transport companies. We are not a taxi company. We do not own or operate vehicles, we do not employ drivers, and we are not party to the transport service contract between the passenger and the driver / company.

The driver (or the company employing the driver) is solely responsible for the safe provision of the transport service, compliance with local traffic and transport laws, vehicle maintenance, insurance, and driver conduct.

4. Booking a ride

4.1 For passengers

4.2 Driver acceptance

5. Fares and pricing

5.1 How fares are calculated

Fares are calculated using an active tariff at the time the ride is accepted. A tariff consists of:

5.2 Who sets the tariff

5.3 Cancellation fees

A cancellation fee may apply if a passenger cancels after a driver has been dispatched and is en route. The exact amount and conditions are displayed in the app before the passenger confirms a cancellation.

5.4 No-show fees

If a driver arrives at the pickup location, waits the required minimum time, and the passenger does not appear, the driver may report a no-show. The passenger may be charged a no-show fee in line with platform rules.

6. Payment

6.1 Cash payments

At launch, all rides are paid in cash directly to the driver at the end of the trip. Drivers should carry change. Passengers should pay the exact fare shown in the app.

6.2 Future card payments

Card payments through a regulated payment processor are planned for a future version of the app. When that becomes available, these Terms will be updated to describe the payment flow, refund process, and fees.

7. Commission structure (drivers and companies)

7.1 Solo drivers

Solo drivers keep 100% of the cash fare. When card payments are enabled in the future, solo drivers will keep approximately 90%, with a 10% platform fee deducted from the card share to cover payment processing and platform costs.

7.2 Company drivers

Company drivers keep a percentage of each fare set by their company (e.g. 70% to the driver, 30% to the company). The exact percentage is visible to the driver on the driver app's wallet screen. Companies may set a per-driver custom commission for individual drivers.

7.3 Settlements

Cash collected by a driver belongs to the driver (or, for company drivers, must be partially handed over to the company per the agreed commission). The app provides a Finances screen for companies to record settlements with drivers and a wallet for drivers to see what they have collected and what is owed.

8. User conduct

You agree NOT to:

Violations may result in temporary suspension or permanent termination of your account.

9. Ratings and reviews

After each ride, passengers may rate their driver and drivers may rate their passenger from 1 to 5 stars and leave a written review. Ratings are visible in aggregate (average score and review count). False or defamatory reviews may be removed. Repeated low ratings may lead to admin review of the account.

10. Driver and company approval

Driver and company accounts require admin approval before they can operate. We may request documents including driver's licence, vehicle registration, insurance, and (for companies) business registration. We may decline any application at our discretion.

Changing certain critical details after approval — such as a driver's vehicle make, model, or year, or a company's registered name — automatically revokes the approved status and requires a re-review by the administrator.

11. Service availability

We aim for high availability but we cannot guarantee that the app will be available 24/7 without interruption. We may suspend the service for maintenance, security, or legal reasons. We are not responsible for delays or losses caused by network issues, device failures, third-party service outages, or events outside our reasonable control.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Kosovo law:

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TaxiMeIAfert, its operators, and its service providers against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or the rights of any third party.

14. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. To delete your account, use the in-app delete-account option in your Profile, or contact us at klevisfx@gmail.com.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or harmful behaviour, or if we are required to do so by law. We will provide notice when reasonably possible.

15. Disputes and applicable law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kosovo. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith discussion shall be submitted to the competent courts of Pristina.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
